課程概述 |
協助推動經濟發展已成為台灣的空間規劃師被賦予的重要任務之一。然而由於全球化及資訊科技的發展，近幾十年來經濟成長在空間形態上所呈現的劇烈變化，已無法完全透過傳統空間經濟理論予以解釋。有鑑於此，本課程之目的在增進學生對當今都市及區域經濟動態的理解能力，除認識產業發展與空間互動關係的轉變外，並瞭解目前重要區域發展政策的邏輯及內涵。
本課程從以下幾個面向來檢視都市及區域經濟，第一部分先討論產業區位及都市與區域經濟理論的演進，接著討論當代都市及區域經濟領域對於幾個重要議題的論辯，包括技術的影響、全球化及都市與區域生產的重組。最後，本課程將介紹目前都市及區域經濟發展政策的趨勢，如推動高科技產業、產業群聚(industrial clusters)、培養社會資本(social capital)、結合經濟與環境發展、及發展都會區等。

增進學生對當今都市及區域經濟動態的理解能力，除認識產業發展與空間互動關係的轉變外，並瞭解目前重要區域發展政策的邏輯及內涵。 |

課程要求 |
課程採討論形式(seminar)上課，由教師與學生於課堂中針對每週之主題及讀物進行密集討論。修課學生應(1)於每週課前閱讀至少二篇讀物並撰寫讀物評論 ；(2)積極參與課堂討論；(3)帶領至少一次課堂討論；(4)參與期末考試或繳交研究報告。
*讀物評論長度不超過一頁，內容應包括：文章之重點、提出至少二個關於文章的問題或批評，以及讀後心得等，並於每週四 中午12:00前將評論上傳至本課程之討論看板。
*選擇撰寫研究報告同學應於學期中(11/12)前繳交研究大綱(包括研究主題及摘要)並經授課教師核可。報告長度約20-30頁。
